This year’s shoot will see our Members & guests move to pastures new, Culbann CPC, which is located just outside Portglenone and owned by the Loughlin family; you are guaranteed a very warm welcome. These grounds, in recent years, have hosted the Home International Sporting competitions between the Home Nations. Responsibility for setting challenging targets is the forte of Declan Scullion of Loughshore Shooting Supplies, he is an Irish International clay target shooter with many international caps to his name, competing at the highest of levels across the globe. Culbann’s unique topography, coupled with Declan’s extensive experience, means you will see targets that you’ve never seen before!
Novices will receive individual coaching from qualified shooting instructors, culminating in a paired shoot-off competition. Culbann will offer an exciting range of targets for novices with emphasis placed on technique, which, coupled with tuition, will ensure that even an absolute beginner will successfully hit moving targets.
Regular shooters will face a challenging, exciting 50-bird mixed sporting competition set by Declan.
The extensive grounds, which has seen in excess of 125 shooters per day during the Summer Month League, have allowed the establishment and development of a very varied set up, including targets such as driven pheasants, incoming and outgoing birds, tricky crossers and high tower clays.
Tea, coffee & scones will welcome our Members and guests to Culbann, and a BBQ afterwards will ensure a great day is had by all. The opportunity for Members to triumph overall, and win the Wylie Cup Perpetual Trophy will undoubtedly guarantee a lively and hearty conclusion.
Members may enter a team of four, or teams will be assembled upon arrival.
Culbann is accessible from Bellaghy or Portglenone and is approximately 35/40 minutes driving from Belfast city centre.
Closing date for entry will be Friday 6th September, by when all payments should be received by the General Office. No refunds can be given after this date.
