Message from the President
Dear Fellow Member,
We are very pleased to announce the reopening of the Club on Wednesday 29th July for business.
These past number of months have certainly been difficult not only for our Club but for all the community throughout the current Covid-19 pandemic.
I wish to thank all of you for your understanding and support and for the many of you that contacted the Club by phone and email with words of encouragement.
There will be many challenges and issues ahead within the building regarding health and safety but this will be left in the capable hands of Lorna, our General Manager and our staff that will receive the necessary training and instruction in these matters.
I look forward to seeing you all once more back in Ulster Reform Club.

As you will note from the President’s message, the Management Committee brought forward the date of their July meeting following the announcement by the NI Executive that the hospitality industry will be permitted to re-open, control of Covid-19 permitting, from Friday 3rd July.
The good news is that we aim to be opening for Members on Wednesday 29th July.
Reopening will be phased to allow us, and you, to get used to the “new normal”. The Committee propose to initially open three days per week, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and dining will be by reservation only.
There will be a number of protocols that need to be followed, as I am sure you are all aware from the slow but sure reopening of other parts of the economy and from watching the media. As this is a very dynamic situation with changes occurring regularly, I will forward details of these new procedures nearer to opening, but please be assured that they will all be about creating a safe and secure place for you all to enjoy.
It will mean that life at the Club will be different for a while but it will ensure a safe environment for all to enable us to edge back to normal life, one step at a time.
I very much look forward to seeing you back in the Club and hearing your lockdown stories.
