Our autumn session of the Arts Society kicks off with a local artist, whose story is of how he changed careers to become a full time and now very successful artist.
Keith Drury's approach is about art that in a small space tells a big story about the scenes he chooses. In the detail of every painting are the scenes that make Northern Ireland and its wry humour unique – and as Keith has shown, popular well beyond Northern Ireland, across UK and further afield. Put simply, Keith's work is a style we all admire and enjoy for its detail, based on an innovative use of 3D modelling. His story is fascinating – it is about how and why he moved from being a Presbyterian minister in Belfast to building an art business and busy gallery by embracing local life, people and institutions.
