“Let’s Chat About: Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause”

With Member Janice Oldcroft - Midwife, Holistic Therapist & Artist

Janice is passionate about women's health and well-being and considers it a true privilege to have served as a midwife for more than 33 years.

One of the highlights of her career was fundraising and travelling alone to the Samburu region of Kenya, where she established a healthcare project providing basic antenatal care, contraception, health education, and support in the prevention of tropical disease.

Now at a new stage in her own life, Janice has channeled that same focus into understanding menopause, healthy/positive ageing, and women's well-being.

Janice is dedicated to exploring the latest medical research and helping women navigate the physical, emotional, and psychological changes of midlife with knowledge, confidence, and compassion.

There will be an opportunity to make a voluntary donation in support of Action Cancer, a charity that provides vital cancer prevention, detection and support services across Northern Ireland.

Everyone who donates will be entered into a prize draw. The prizes include a selection of greeting cards featuring Janice's original artwork and more...

“Completing the Stress Cycle”

With Dani — The Nervous System Nurse

A Restorative Breathwork and Somatic Movement based practice exploring how to use body based techniques to befriend your nervous system and increase response flexibility.

Dani is a registered mental health nurse, Yoga Teacher, Breathwork and meditation facilitator and Somatic Trauma Therapist.

Dani has been dedicated to promoting nervous system health for over 10 years. Recognising the impacts of trauma and stress on the nervous and immune systems and the subsequent effects this can have on people’s mental and physical health.

Dani will be offering a gentle somatic Breathwork and movement session that will weave mindfulness and some more intense and playful techniques.

She hopes to leave you with a deeper knowledge of your nervous system and tools that you can use to promote response flexibility to live a fuller, healthier, slightly more stress free life (and hopefully have a bit of craic doing it!).
