ART SOCIETY AT BELFAST HARBOUR COMMISSIONERS

BHC1

On Monday 11 May 2015 the newly formed Art Society embarked on its inaugural outing, a visit to Belfast Harbour Commissioners offices, to enjoy the very attractive building which has been occupied for over 150 years, and to view the interesting and eclectic art works displayed therein. During our tour we had the services of a Blue Badge Guide, Nollaig Kelly, whose knowledge of the building and it contents was as broad as it was deep. We are indebted to the BHC for generously providing this facility. The party consisted of Naomi Patrick, Jennifer Smyth, Stratton Mills, Lloyd Crawford, Ruth Hagan and Terry Winnington, Carolyn and John Caldwell, George and Lois Cinnamon, and Anne and Ralph Ashenhurst. We are grateful to Lloyd and George for bringing their cameras along to record the visit! The group wrapped up the morning with lunch back at the Reform Club, where we discussed our visit, and ideas for further artistic events and speakers were shared."
