The Ulster Reform Club opened its doors on 1st January 1885 and its aim was to provide the membership with all the privileges and amenities of similar private member clubs in Britain and Ireland.

Today it is the most prestigious social and dining club in Northern Ireland whose object is to support and promote the well being of the business and professional community across Northern Ireland. In a rejuvenated Belfast it is regarded as one of the liveliest luncheon venues in the city.

The building, a very fine example of a Victorian Gentleman’s’ Club, is located on Royal Avenue, at the heart of Belfast. Members often refer to the Club as an ‘oasis’, a refuge from the pressures of daily grind.

We have a magnificent dining room, a Reading Room in which to peruse and enjoy your favourite magazines and newspapers and a comfortable Members’ Bar to enjoy a convivial drink with friends or colleagues. We also have a Snooker Room with two superb tables dating from the opening of the Club as well as a small fitness suite for the more energetic and a business suite available for members’ use.

Our General Manager, Matthew Laird, leads a dedicated and experienced hospitality team committed to the provision of consistently high service levels. We are particularly proud of our superb team of chefs who can cater for fine cuisine for small private parties to large events involving over 100. The Club has a number of additional rooms for receptions, meetings, weddings, birthdays, reunions or conferences and catering can be arranged as appropriate.

The Club has a very active social programme including musical performances, gourmet dinners, guest speaker lunches, specialist society meetings and sporting events. There is something for everyone. For those members who are regular travellers the Club has reciprocal arrangements with similar clubs around the world making them a more attractive proposition than hotels.

Above all the Ulster Reform Club is a club. Not just a wonderful physical place where members meet, socialise and enjoy hospitality but where friendships are made and where you can always be assured of a warm welcome.

Membership is open to all. Candidates must be supported by a Proposer and Seconder and application is subject to the Club’s eligibility criteria.

Should you require further information please contact the Club directly or via our online links.
