Our Societies

This is a new initiative being promoted by the Club; so, if you have an interest that you would like to pursue with other Club members, please let us know.

We know that many of our reciprocal Clubs have healthy clubs and societies within their clubs, run by Members for fellow Members to enjoy. Examples of these are bridge, fishing, walking, investment, historical societies and appreciation groups for topics such as art or literature.
We would be keen to facilitate similar bodies and our social media channels would be an ideal way to organise and promote these. With all of this in mind, if you are interested in participating in such groups, or have any other interest you would like to share with like-minded Members, please contact our Membership Relations Manager, christina@ulsterreformclub.com, or on our new private facebook page.

  • Art Society

Our next Art Society Event will be on Belfast’s Culture Night- Friday 21st September.

Society Members will meet at The Royal Ulster Academy(details below) to enjoy the collection and the music, then continue on to the Club for supper. For details and booking please contact Christina.

The Royal Ulster Academy will be offering audiences a look at it’s unique Diploma Collection. 2018 will be a special year as we will have been in new home at St Anne’s Square, 59 North Street for just over a year. St Anne’s Court is situated in the very heart of the cultural celebrations, the Diploma Collection will be open to the public between 5pm and 8.30pm and we will also be hosting a live music set from Tony Kaluarachchi.

Tony Kaluarachchi offers an authentic new sound that combines unique vocals and a mezmerising guitar technique in a set list that includes jazz, soul and Latin American classics. He has played all over Ireland and beyond as part of several notable bands and is currently offering a solo act which is no less spectacular than the live band experience.

Recent residencies include Horatio Todds, Holohan’s at the Barge, Aether & Echo, Tedford’s Restaurant, Fortwilliam Golf Club, Deanes Restaurant, the Apartment, The Hudson Bar and the Marco Pierre White Restaurant in the Park Avenue Hotel . He collaborates with Linley Hamilton from time to time and recently played at the launch of the Royal Ulster Academy of Arts Annual Exhibition at the Ulster Museum. Here’s a sample of his live playing:
