Matthew Laird

Our General Manager Matthew Laird joined the Club in December 2022. A seasoned hospitality and management professional with over 25 years’ experience.
Highlights in Matthew’s career have included running Hillsborough Castle, the Royal Household in Northern Ireland, where he tended to the Royal Family as well as numerous dignitaries & world leaders, and in addition at Belfast Waterfront & Ulster Hall where he was responsible for the catering for some of the largest gala dinners and conferences in Northern Ireland.
Matthew enjoys the varied days in the Club, meeting, getting to know members as well as organising the ‘Travel Society’ weekends for members.
In his spare time, Matthew enjoys going to the gym, watching Rugby, the occasional holiday with a good book and following the San Francisco 49ers during the NFL season.
Robert Fulton
Head Chef

Robert has worked in the catering industry for 30+ years, including O’Hara’s Royal Hotel, Crawfordsburn Inn and Marine Court Hotel. He has been with the Club since 2004, promoted to Head Chef in 2012.
He has won 2 gold medals; Belfast 1994 Salon Culinaire and, in Galway in 1996, the West of Ireland International
Alannah Ritchie

Alannah joined the Club in March 2024 as Member Relations Manager, a graduate of Ulster University she has a degree in Hospitality Management, in addition Alannah successfully ran her own business for several years. Since joining the team, Alannah adds those extra little touches to the numerous Club events that take place, enjoys marketing the Club events and the weekly email updates that go to members.
You can usually find Alannah in the airport departures clocking up the air miles, since joining the club her personal travels have included countries such as Colombia, Southeastern United States, France, Italy as well as a few festivals along the way including the recent Isle of Wight and Glastonbury.
Timothy Mearns
Food & Beverage Manager

Timothy joined the Club in October 2024 and has worked his way up from Bartender to Bar Manager and has recently been promoted to Food & Beverage Manager. He has worked in hospitality for 13 years and enjoys the daily craic with all the members and their guests. Timothy wants to continue and build on his experience & learning and is looking forward to visiting some reciprocal clubs as part of his development.
In his spare time, Timothy plays & watches football, goes to the gym, paddleboards, swims and enjoys socialising with friends. His dream holiday would be to travel around Australia and Asia, and he want to achieve this by the time he is 30.
Isabella Jost-Dixon

Isabella is a dual Swiss-American national who grew up between the United States and Europe.
After completing degrees in Art History and Restaurant & Hospitality Management, she moved to London in 2020 to pursue a Master's in the Fine & Decorative Art Market from Sotheby’s. Following her studies, she worked at Colnaghi Gallery before moving to Barcelona to be closer to family.
She later accepted the role of Night Manager at the Slieve Donard Hotel & Spa, a move that brought her to Northern Ireland, where she has happily remained ever since. One of her favourite things about living here is the weather—yes, really.
Outside of work, Isabella enjoys cooking, travelling, and getting lost in a good book. She is delighted to be part of the team and looks forward to getting to know the membership while contributing to the Club’s continued growth and success.
